A Connected Childhood
Can you hear it?
It’s the sound of children in their socks, sprinting down the hallway that connects their after-school care with the sports hall, where they will soon be playing handball, football, badminton, or esports. They have just been picked up by their coach, making for a seamless transition—in stocking feet—between school hours and free time.
Langhøjhallen is the town’s gathering point. In fact, it’s the hub for the entire cluster of villages that send their children to school in Langhøj every day. Here, parents can say "have fun" with peace of mind when the kids mention they are just cycling down to the hall. It feels safe because everyone knows each other—both children and adults.
The children know the sports hall inside out because they have been coming here since their nursery days. They have visited with their kindergarten, during school PE lessons, and with the after-school program. The annual school party, where the fifth grade performs their very own play, takes place in the hall too.
Even the local teenagers meet up to play badminton, table tennis, or football during the "Open Hall" weekends. No matter the age, Langhøjhallen is the place to meet. Within a safe and active community.
